Re: The C1 electric conversion story

Thanks junny, I'm gonna put one of them under the seat, I haven't any other choice. But I have to manage with the controller which place is under the seat too... by the way I will have to hack the fairing, cause batteries are too large to fit this pocketbike and I prefer to mod the fairing (which is not so complicate and it wouldn't be so ugly ) rather than put smaller batteries and loose my range. Thanks for your interest man

Re: The C1 electric conversion story

So here we go... I received yestarday my brand new 55th sprocket and master links to fit it. Today I received the 3 brand new batteries. Just missing the motor and the throttle which would be here at the end of the week (yes I know we're friday lol)

Here is the new pics with the batteries, the brackets and the controller.

Have to make other brackets to lock out batteries and to really isolate them.

Re: The C1 electric conversion story

Ok Mondo, I remember we told this baby is CW and I need to know how to change it CCW. Moreover I looked the controller's website and the data sheet isn't not exactly the same as my controller. On my TSP I have 3 big prongs while there are 4 on the website. They're called : B+, B-, M-. Where is M+ The scheme on the website is easy to understand but what can I do with the motor leads ?

Thanks for your help, this baby is coming

PS: And this is my 55 tooth sprocket

Re: The C1 electric conversion story

ok the easiest way for now is to just to switch you motor wire around.. so the black on your motor will now be hooked up to the b+ on your controller and the redwire will now be hooked up to m- on your controller....... your battery run in series and hook up as normal negitive to b- and positive to b+....... on/off switch you wire from the battery to the small prong...i put some pics in so you can see...hope this clears everything up for you.... if you have any question let me know...

Re: The C1 electric conversion story

ok i posted too late you took to your motor apart....ok here is what you need to do ....put the motor back together lol... do you know how to put it back on ?????you will need to remove the coil from the casing... this mean now you need to take the sprocket off so you can remove the coil....the bolt holding the sprocket is reversed... you need to loosen it the opposite way you usually loosen a normal bolt...once the coil is out you need to tape off the brushes(tape just makes it easier to get the coil back on so you don't damage your brushes) put coil on then pull the tape off... brushes should sit back on... once that is done it is time to put the coil back in the casing... first put one hand in the casing( you need your hand in there to guide the coil back in)... if you don't do this then the magnets will pull the coil in hard and pop your brushes back out and you will have to start all over again...once you guide it thu put the motor bolts back on,, but turn it 90 degrees from where you took the bolts out from the first time....... that should put the rotation ccw..tighten the 2 bolts but not all the way..... you need to leave them just a little loose so you will be able to adjust the timing on the motor... use one of you batteries to test your motor to see if your motor is turning ccw...if you need me to take pics for you of each step, so you can see what it should look like, let me know..... i have big blue here and it's all apart so it would be easy to do ... let me know...

Re: The C1 electric conversion story

Ok Thank you Mondo, I did what you told me and the motor spin CCW now. Now everything is connected, but it don't works I don't understand why...Are you sure of your diagram ? On your pic we can see the blue wire from your motor is connected @ the M- and the brown @ the B+. Is your blue wire the black or the red one on my motor ? Then I put my circuit breaker between battery + and B+, the on/off switch as you said, the charging receptacle between battery + and battery -, and the throttle seems to be well connected... I don't know what to do I wonder if the controller works How can I be sure of it ?

Re: The C1 electric conversion story

Mondo, I was just wondering if you tried the controller before you sent it to me ? The one on the pic is mine ? So if you tried it it should work with the setup on the pic... On your diagram, you connect the motor + on the M- (so you invert polarity) and I saw that I can't change polarity now, because my motor is spinning CW since I changed it ! So should I connect motor- with M- and motor+ with B+ ? That seems to be logical but I don't want to make mistake so I will wait for your advice...

Re: The C1 electric conversion story

yes frenchie since your motor now spins ccw all you need to do is connect red wire on your motor to b+ ........ m- to your black wire on your motor... that pic is of your controller... sevo took the pic of the set up before he packed it up and shipped it to me... and again i did check it to make sure it did work before i shipped it to you....once you get everything hooked up and working we still need to set the timing on the motor.... so when you get to that point i will walk you thru the timing adjustment.... are the colors on your throttle red/green/black????take a pic please so i can see what you are doing....thanks
i just notice something you wrote... the breaker goes from the battery+ to your on/off then the first small prong on the left....

Re: The C1 electric conversion story

yes, I must be careful with the throttle, if I pull a 'lil bit, it wheelies without any problem . But I think it could maybe hit a lil sooner. It weighs about 70lbs, and I can say 80% of it are before the pegs
