fun project i finished....

hey guys this really doesn't relate to pocket bikes but since it is the electric section i thought i'd share this with my friends here... i mentions about 5 days ago i was working on something big... well i finished it a few minutess ago...
now don't laugh at me... i just finish converting my broke rideon move to electric.... now here is the story( short version)........ bought this new house and tractor stayed with the house... tractor was only 2 years old and a few weeks ago it blow the piston rod....... instead off dumping money into the rideon i just went out andbought a new one...now i had a new one and a broke one... so i decided to sell the cutting deck and the motor... well now the rideon is about 70lbs. less so i decide to see if my 1200watt motor would work and move the mower... took off the pulley and put on a sprocket on the trans hooked the motor up and an old controller i had.. and off i went....
it is a 1200watt motor/48 volts. but right now i'm running it on 36 volts til i get a 48 volt controller...i took the kids for a ride on `a not so charged battery i had laying around but we end up doing 8mph on the grass... before you guys so only 8mph...... with the gas motor it only did 4.3 so i almost doubled the speed... and once the extra 12 volts in added it should do 12 mph so i am happy with it...
here are some pics of the rideon ...... i'm going to videotape my run when the battery is charged...

Re: fun project i finished....

alright, the season is over now, I was very busy with it and no time to be awared of what's happened here since may. Sorry. I hope everybody's fine, A.J, street and mr exon too. I used my pb all the season on shows and I think I could have sold a lot of these If I had time to build a few. The c1 is still the same since the last time I came here. Maybe a little less torque -due to batteries in my opinion- but it run well. I spend the few free time I had to another project too, but not an electric one. (electric vehicles are not road legal in Europe, unless you have an official sheet for it). There was an old Kawasaki 125 KDX hanging in my garage so I decided to give it a new life, and new style. I gave it a complete KX body fairing, tank and pipe, with 17" wheels front and rear. Big front brake is coming (320mm = about 14,5").It looks a 2000 125 KX supermoto now. See the pics.
