new pocketbike

My brother is thinking about getting a pocket bike. He's likes some of the european gas bikes (used) like the blata 2.5 to race against my cag but i was wondering about the electrics. I hear people can make them go over 30 mph but was wondering how you do that. If he buys one he's probably going to get an x7 if he buys electric. Can you just use any battery to tune them up or do you have to buy ones specialized for the x7? Is it hard to install batteries? And will it cost over 500$ to get to be able to go around 35 mph? Also are you usually aloud to bring them to the track to race against gas powered ones?

Re: new pocketbike

over 40 mph i say with no hassle, just from the gassers
but if you stick around long enuff to learn somthing maby sevo will let you in on how to make an Etech bike, these are good for over 60mph no problem

for now look at:

200-400amp controlers
500-2500w motors
12mm,3/8" gears (15 and 18tooth gears are easy to find)
#25 sprockets you should get 3 of them70 66 60
sheat metal to make a motor mount
