Re: ratbike(RAZOR-mod)

1200W Motor - 48 Volts (Model: MY1020)
Motor Parts - 106170
Shipping Weight: 11.0 lbs.
MY1020 48 Volt, 1200 Watt, 3200 RPM, 32 Amp, permanent-magnet motor. 12 gauge power leads.
Dimensions: 4-1/4" W x 5-1/2" L not including shaft. 4-1/2" W x 6-1/2" L including shaft.

i have to admit i amrealy thinking i may be able to squeeze it in the RazorRatBike, ya 3200Rpm at almost 2hp.....
cant go rong there........ do you think i will have to convert to #35 chain though......i know this may be a change in plans but......i did not know that they would be the same size as all the rest of the motors(kickass)

i do belive the bike will no longer turn too tight after instal.. but i do think it will power a 18 tooth pinion though....this would be like taking out 21 teeth off the rear sprocket......budget has to be rased to 350$

update:
i got the 48v controler in today, installed it, ran it....

no amps, no amps, no amps

bike did not even go faster then the 36v controler......
to slow.....

now i will have to get incontact with sevo and get one of his controlers.....but a 300-400 amp contoler is too big... dont know if i will be able to fit it in the bike

Re: ratbike(RAZOR-mod)

surfer:

this is the rat bike thread, lol
if you post stuff like that, do it after your post to the thread
like a "ps...." or a "oh by the way"

a post should always stay in or on topic, this is not chat...
this is a tool to help every one out with problems someone else may have already incountered

or like what this thread is about how to make somthing better or even insane.....

update:

put the MX500 controler back in and hit 25.7 off the batt today..

the Xtream500w 48 volt contoler(version1) is a under powered controler...i dont think it is even giving the motor full power(what is the deal with that) i hit only 23 mph with over 1 mile of road.....30 amps, na! more like 10 amps

ps.. this is not bashing, this is telin it like it is!!!!
