Sanctioned by the MMRAC, the OPBRL is now prepared to offer a local points season with the MMRAC being the driving force behind Canadian Pocket Racing as a whole. The MMRAC being the Mini-Moto Racing association of Canada, is the main sanctioning body for all of the pocket bike racing leagues in all of Canada. Through the MMRAC, OPBRL members will recieve thier CMA official Mini-Moto racing licence, and events will be insured through the the CMA/FIM . There are alot of benefits provided to pocket bike racing leagues that cannot be aquired without the sanctioning of the MMRAC, and with our combining of efforts, we will be able to provide all Ontario Pocket Bike racing enthusiasts all that is available. The goal of this combining of efforts is to ensure that Pocket Bike racing in Ontario can achieve levels of success that has been found across the globe. The OPBRL has established a strong following as has the MMRAC, and this along with the establishment of leagues across Canada, growth, and the sports recognition can be taken to the next level.
All locally scheduled events are going to be OPBRL points events, and all exibition, Can-Am challenges, away events, and outside league combined events will be recognized as MMRAC/OPBRL events, and scored under the OPBRL Summer Points Series Standings. There are alot of details that will need to be worked out over the course of this week, and ask that all who are interested in attending race #1, please keep yourself up to date via this site, and others which will also host a compilation of information.
Whatever happens throughout this season, what we all have to remember is that the success of the sport is the main ambition of the OPBRL, and the MMRAC. There are going to be a number of changes made to help the schedule better suit the high number of racers that will be attending these events, and these changes will include not only full day events rather than partial day events, but will also invite the opportunity for us to host a few two day events which will find racers attending from across North America. This is going to be a huge leap for Pocket Bike Racing in Ontario, and will prove itself to be the right decision for the OPBRL to make.
The OPBRL with the support of the MMRAC is going to be able to provide Ontario with a more structured, and officially recognized race season, and will do more for the sport than could be accomplished on it's own.
The success of the sport is counting on the all of us, and anything that can be done to assist the sport in it's development is welcome. The combining of efforts between the OPBRL and the MMRAC is probably the best thing that could happen to pocket bike racing in Ontario, and we hope you see this as well.
