AREA 51 cag/L7 paint idea! likey or no likey?

hey guys, here in the next month or so imma buy a cag or a Lucky7. im leaning towards the Lucky 7 but they are pretty hard to find. either way i want to paint it and well make it my own. a while back me and torquehead were talking on here and he gave me an idea for my paint. heres the plan.

-lime green frame,swing arm ect.
-lime green spokes for wheels
-lime green underglow (AA batt. powered)
-Black fairings
-lime green stickers (eventually)

i figured id buy a cag since i want 1 anyway and attempt to paint it before i try to paint my x18. im not gonna ride this all the time. only on the weekends i spend with my dad. he lives over 50miles away and tracking the x18 back and forth isnt easy so i figured a cag would be "fun" and easy to carry. anyway thats my plans.

i included a cool little pic i drew on paint aswell

the plastics in the pic are gray cuz if i made them black they would of blended with the tires and it wouldnt of looked like a bike lol.

lemme know what you think!!!!

PROPS TO TORQUEHEAD FOR THE AWSOME IDEA!!!!!!!!!!

Re: AREA 51 cag/L7 paint idea! likey or no likey?

lol. i didnt draw anything. i found a pic online of some1 who did draw it and i opened it with my paint. when i opened it it got really blurry so i had to clean it up. so i fixed and redrew it yes. but the original pic was no my drawling. i colored it and added a few things like the pipe.

anyway glad you like it

as soon as i finish with my x18 im buying a small bike and them painting cant wait

I used Macromedia Fireworks to do it quickly... I didn't spend the time to clean it up or anything.

Here is the nightime version with underglow:

This is the logo for the Area 51 racers But I wouldn't waste my time putting it on a Cag. The paint will cost more than the bike.

HEY YEAH!!!!!!! Now thats what Im talking about!!! You gotta go for it NOFEARX18, I had the image only in my mind, but when its actually visual that friggin rocks!!! Hella-Sick! RageDigital's got an awesome rendering of whats to come, you just gotta do it bro! ....uh, makes me want to turn one my son's bikes that way...lol

You should visit Also Corp's website...they have some awesome glow in the dark paint!!! I do know you can get a much cheaper retail shelf version of glow in the dark paint...that should be your avenue to take.

Question: I either missed it or you didnt specify...but are you going to paint it flat black, or gloss? I vote the flattest black you could possibly find. BTW, Alsa Corp. also has that Rubber-Feel like paint...which would be cool to have it a flat rubbery black!

As far as the alien head and the "Area 51", if you know a t-shirt press operator/business, maybe you could get them to silkscreen an alien onto the final paint... Ive had this done several times on other custom projects...not too expensive either...

I vote all thumbs up!

Re: AREA 51 cag/L7 paint idea! likey or no likey?

haha i didnt know you had thumbs on your feet

i actually wanted to do a gloss black. the flat black is hard to keep clean. all though it would look good. i mite have to compare them to see which i like better.

the glow in the dark paints pretty cool idea too but i think it wont "glow" cuz of the underglow system i found this kit is BRITE!!!!! its soo brite that you can see the LED'S through the plastics on a red cateye.

now all i need is to work my azz off and make some money so i can get the cag. i think im lucky though because a place don my road carrys them. all depends on their prices tho.

thanks for the good feedback here guys

LOL, well, I guess I do have thumbs on my feet! I didnt realize that.

Good point about the flat black, it certainly is harder to keep it clean, it almost requires water pressure. Gloss black will work.

As for the glow in the dark paint, if you use the good quality stuff from Alsa Corp., it will certainly glow...with your neon. We sponsor a dirt track IMCA modified race car that we painted the roll cage, under frame, bumpers, engine and tank halos, and nerf bars with the glow paint. It worked mighty fine.

Cool, if your LEDs are that bright, then they are the Cold Cathode LEDs. They are great, youll love them!

The bike is going to look so cool!
