C2... work in progress

Still tweaking my C2, but painted rims, painted frame, front end lowered 1" custom rear fender, trimmed the front fairing for clearance... and then there's the motor...

Re: C2... work in progress

Well, I smoked my first motor (wrist pin bearing let go...) so I replaced the top end, set the squish, milled out the reed block area to allow more clearance, Banshee carb with ported manifold, ported the case, knife edged the transfer ports, carbon fiber reeds and stuffer, NGK plug. I am installing a reed spacer, and will bump the compression and probably upgrade to a 50cc head this winter. Bike is awesome, the handling is a bit twitchy at first, but I got used to it. My advice would be to dis-assemble the bike completely before your first ride. loctite all of the fasteners, and check the tolerances. Replace the wrist pin bearing, and run 25:1 castor oil mix (non-synthetic) to help break in the motor, and seat the seals properly. Junk the stock pegs install some meathooks, and I have a 6" bolt running under the motor to re-enforce the frame. If you crash, the frame will snap where the footpeg is mounted, and you will have to replace the frame connector.
I love the bike, and with another season of experience, it is capable of competeing with the Euros.
