I Wanna Paint My Bike Where To Start?

Can someone explain step by step what i need and what i must to to paint my pocket bike with smooth results. I want the paint to be some, not rough like sand paper

sand,sand,sand,sand,paint,paint,ssand,paint,paint, clearcoat,clearcoat,sand,clearcoat.....something around that order
