Hey guys, thaks for all the great feedback, the accent on the side of the motor is the sticker but the exhaust is the real deal. It was a pain in the neck to make and then when I saw it next to the sticker, it looks just the same! Should have just used the sticker!! If I could find some carbon tubing that is the right size it could be easily done. I would like to start up an x18 shop on the internet, just making bits for x18's but thats pretty far away at the moment, so maybe one day you might be able to buy one of these pipes.
I like it, looks real good. Just dont over do it with the carbon fiber it will look too cheasy. As far as the swingarm, is it extended at all or is it stock length, why did you decide to make it solid like that? Also, is the exhaust internally modified at all or did you just wrap the carbon fiber around it. I would work on some motor mods, looks are no good if it cant go lol
Yeah the exhaust had been modded, as for the swingarm, it is stock length but we made it solid so it would look like the moto gp bikes. If you have a look at them nearly all of them have the solid swingarm, looks cool I think. As for the engine, I have made some sproket changes but will be soon dropping in a fully worked 140cc, oil cooler, inner rotor kit, camms, race head and hopefully have enough power to run super tall gearing. Also looking at dropping in the daytona double over head camm kit from red barron as I have a honda bottom end laying around.
The DOHC is about 3k, its a hefty price but if you buy one of those and build a really good engine, you can keep it forever. Put it in pit bikes, road bikes and it will last. I think it would be ballistic in an x18!
As for painting the rims, I took mine to the local tyre shop and had the tyres taken off, sent them off to the powder coaters, cost me $50 australian dollars (about 35 US) I opted for powder coat over paint because it is much thicker and tougher, basically it wont chip as easy.

Nice paint scheme, looks good. I'm sure you are aware that all the DOHC kits will need a top end rebuild every 10 hours.
