Re: What paint to use for the x18

ok here we go, lol. its going to be long. first off you need to use automotive duplicolor paint and clear in a rattle can.
1.- wetsand the body with about 1500 grit sand paper. then clean with water and dry it.
2.- repeat step 1 again.
3.- start with a 2 coats of primer.
4.- wet sand and clean the primer.
5.- repeat step 4 again.
6.- start with a thin coat of paint.
7.- repeat step 6 but a little bit heavier coat.
8.- repeat step 7 but enough to cover all the light spots left over.
9.- let dry for a day in clean area.
10.- wet sand the paint 1 time and clean it.
11.- apply about 3 coats of clear letting dry in between coats. wet sand the 3rd coat, clean and let dry.
12.- apply last coat of clear.

if you follow those rules you will be blinding the people on the road. jhust make sure you do this in a very clean area. and when you do the wet sanding, i am pretty sure you need like 1400 or 1500 grit paper. need something super fine, almost feel like loose leaf paper.

i already told you. go to auto zone and get Duplicolor paint and clear coat. clear is what goes over the paint after it dries to make all shinny and prety, lol. you can get everything i told you about at auto zone. and no i havent done my bike yet cause i am still modding. i painted my neighbors bike like this and came out flawless.
