Sometimes if I pullstart it, it idles for 30 seconds and starts moving by itself then shuts off. Please help me guys! heres a pic of the bike.

Re: AMX Pocket bike not starting!

Neat little bike!

Have you read the Cag FAQ posted on this site yet? If not, now is the time!

It sounds like you are having a fuel flow issue. Either your fuel line is pinched (very common), or, there is dirt in the float needle. What is happening is that it will start up on the fuel in the float bowl, but, quickly burns it up and quits. I will hazard a guess that it will start up and do the same thing after sitting a while! Check the fuel line routing first. One owner noticed, after fighting with it for a month, that th fuel line was clamped to the frame using a zip tie. It was the zip tie that was crushing the fuel line!

All well tuned 2 strokes will rev up when the fuel supply runs out; that is why it seems to want to move on its own just before quitting.

Re: AMX Pocket bike not starting!

either that or a pice of plastic from manufacture is loged in the fel line itself...it happens when people get their bikes they do not think about cleaning the fuel line and tank out before they put gas in it for the first time...........

well you could always just take the carb apart and clean it good, see if that works.

Re: AMX Pocket bike not starting!

ok no one here mentioned the obvious. you said you have only rode the bike once. well it sounds like you havent attempted to adjust the carb any. i would recommend richening the carb about 1 full turn and go from there. if it seems like it a little better but needs more, repeat and richen about 1/2 turn. if that doesnt work try dropping the c-clip a notch.

If it's a 47cc it's either the carb or inside the gearbox there's a broken spring since it has 3.
