Electric Start????!!!!

ok i have a pocket bike X7 49cc.
i bought it brand new and when i bought it i plugged the charger in the when i turned the key the light turned on and the horn lghts signals worked..
when it was still on the charger i pressed break and electric start and it did.
i charged it over night woke up took it off the charger and turned the key..NOYTHING worked.
no when it is plugged in everything still works but when i click electric start it just makes a weird sound like as if its trying to start but it wont...so pretty much my electric start doesnt work and my bike doesnt charge..and i got it BRAND.
can you guys please help me!

Re: Electric Start????!!!!

well, you should try to start it with the pull start, then after it's been running for a little bit try the electric start, thats all I can think of right now

it's probably a bad ground or bad connection or something long those lines.

Re: Electric Start????!!!!

Not entirely sure, but sounds like the battery is fried. And yes, sometimes that happens straight out of the box - I went through three "brand-new" batteries for my truck right there at the parts counter at Sears before they found a good one for me, and ALL of them had been just unpacked.

Re: Electric Start????!!!!

check to see if your fuse is in right.
or it can just be a bad battery or a bad regulator.

my guess its a bad regulator because i had the exact same problem on my cateye. overcharged it and then nothing worked. but when i revved the bike or as i rode it, it gave the lights and everything else electrical some juice so they only worked while riding...
i replaced the regulator and all was good.
