engine block

does any one know if an engine case is the same as a block? because I want to do an untimate engine and want to pick everything out myself. and seeing that a cag is the most common one, I thought hey, why not go for it.

47cc pocket bike engine case.

because I found that and I wasn't sure if it was considered a block or something else.

Re: engine block

Yeah, it is .... some people call 'em cases, some call 'em blocks ....

What stuff are you planning on putting in it? Make a list, check it twice, and find out where the best places to get the parts are, like Dave's Motors or scooterparts4less or ebay.

Sounds like a good project - will you be taking pictures of the full engine build for a photo essay?

Re: engine block

alright, just making sure.

probably for some of the more basic stuff I would probably go to daves and scooterparts4less. but for the most needed things, piston, crank, reeds, things like that I think it may be better to pay the full price but who knows, I'll see when I get there

yeah I'll be taking pictures, I'm hoping I can squeeze a lot of power out of this little thing, and even if I don't put it on a pocket bike, like if I can't find a frame, I could always put it on a go kart lol.
