Turn the ratio screw(it's the goldren screw with the spring on it) a tiny bit clockwise. The more you turn the more gas it will give it by itself, and the louder the bike gets, you will see at one point the more you turn it, the bike will start moving by itself.

Re: Need Help with x15 stock carb

Just cleaning out the trash in the floatbowl and making sure the jets are clean is only halfway cleaning it..Theres 20 small tiny crossflow holes in the mainjet tube thats probably still blocked up thats why the a/f screw does nothing. When you reopen the carb to thouroughly clean the carb theres a float restrictor tab in the floatbowl bottom that needs to be ground down to acheive a better starting, idling and running bike...Peace

Re: Need Help with x15 stock carb

ok im still having problems i didn't grind down the tab yet but still that would make a difference but not with the bike shutting off every time I get off the throttle is there anything else that could be the problem. I'm trying to get this running smoothly anything at all would be of help thanks.

Re: Need Help with x15 stock carb

Have you tried adjusting the idle screw or checking the float height and reset it if its not with-in specs...If the float is set too low the fuelbowl will not fill up all the way and starve the pilot jet[idle jet] causing idling and running problems by making the engine run lean...when the float is set too high the carb will either run the engine rich or overflow gas..............The proper setting for the float is 10 degrees. The float restrictor tab is also the cause of the problems too by hindering the proper range of motion of the float so doing it would only be a plus to you if you do ,it..If not youre gonna have a bike that starts hard, idles rough and backfires alot......Peace

Re: Need Help with x15 stock carb

You use a small stainless steel scale in inches...Theres a diagram below or you could look in the pic in the previous post and match your float to the angle in the picture by eye too if you can notice the angle in which it sits in the pic..If not the steps are below..

Other things to check too is how the plastic isolator between the carb and intake is installed correctly and the mount bolts were both cinched evenly before tightening...the o-ring on the isolator should be on the intake side as the carb has its own built-in o-ring on the mount flange...Another thing to check is to make sure its not cracked or the fuelline doesnt have any kinks in it and the fuelfilter is installed correctly...Peace
