well i got a lil creative it comes on a yamaha banshee it seals the header pipe to the silencer on the banshee quad it barely fit but that piece will cost you 15$ at yamaha i got it from a friend if i had to do it again i would go to auto zone and fit a piece of raidator hose on it that stuff can tade alot of heat im trying to figure out if the other end of the header pipe is going to spew and if so what to do about it

Re: something different here l@@k!

im kind of surprised to see that you are going with the cag engine with all the work you're doing on that thing.
I have to admit, with the go cart slicks it looks mean, but you'll find that even doin full mods to a cag engine will be lacking.
Seriously, my oppinion...
take the time to figure out how to throw a shifter motor into it. You'll be able to roast doghnuts and whellie it all day. Might even make for some good youtube.

actualy im surprised im using a cag motor myself . a kx 65 motor was the original plan but didnt work but im building a water cooled quad next. not sure which motor to use but a shifter kart motor wont fit BELIEVE ME I HAVE TRIED IT ALL! i want this thing to spin or atleast slide a lil. im doing so much to this cag motor that it should be fun to ride.

Re: something different here l@@k!

trust me, if you take your time you can do it. if i recall correctly, on youtube there is an 80cc cag that does a 1/4mile run at some dragstrip and rips it.
if you can put an 80cc on a cag bike, i'm sure you can do it on the quad.
either way, you got my attention lol. keeps the madness up.

Re: something different here l@@k!

a nice W/C BZM or polini 50 or banshee motor for that means would rock . if you decide to go that route I even have a banshee clutch bell /housing that will accept the lower water pump setup and will make that a much simplier install. 6 tooth front with a 76 rear will make for wheelie central and donuts like you wouldnt believe

Well, for now, if the cag motor's what you got to work with, then use it. Although I do like the idea of putting more power into the bike myself .....

The dampening mod works great - you won't believe it until you rev up the bike. Keep up the good work and updates.

I myself dont care for the delta clutch it eats bells alot quicker than normal , I prefer the strong in my 2 3 shoe on my BZM motor .

This has to be one of the sickest builds/projects I've seen here, keep it up and I can't wait to see this finished.

Great choice on the color for the frame too!!!

Re: something different here look! Custom Quad.

Powder coat is the way to go. But if you have a brother that has been working in a autobody shop for 20 years like me, Base coat , clear coat, auto paint works pretty good too. ( Not spray paint )

Nice build sofar

I have really been surprised with the amount of power I was able to get out of a stock 49cc cag engine. Most the mods I did to my stock 49cc was dremmel work ( porting and polishing, carb, intake, and cylinder head ).

I found my stock clutch (brand new bell and pads ) slips allot. My 2 shoe HP adjustable clutch also slips allot ( when I get on the throttle out of a turn ), not sure what to do about this problem yet, still working on it.

you can also break off every other fin then mill it flat were you broke them it will have plenty of air flow to cool and spool up fast. I am running a 6 fin on a heavly modded cag engine and run it so the plug runs at the white color no over heating unless in the upper 90s then I will jet a little high. here is the engine i built it was clock with lazer at 39.9 mph running a 7/70 gear tons of out of the hole power!!
