Re: X18-R Nitro

Well, here is my experience in buying a pocket bike! About three weeks ago I decided to buy a pocket bike. I originally bought the X7. I received an email stating my order had been approved and my credit card had been charged. The next day I received an email telling me the X7's were out of stock and won't be in until the end of July. I was told I could either wait for them to be re-stocked or could upgrade to another bike. That ticked me off so I called the shop. I explained my disgust with the way they operate and told them if they are out of stock on a certain model, the website should say so. To make a long story short, I upgraded to the X18 for just $100 more and received free shipping (Since they weren't going to meet the "Next 5 business day delivery" with my original order of the X7). The sales rep on the phone was pissed at me but as I told him that's the price his company should pay for false advertising and failure to keep their end of the bargain! I am sure my business is no longer welcome there but who cares, my X18 is in my garage.

As far as the speed goes for the X18, I weigh 165 lbs and got it up to 50 mph (With a little more room to go in the throttle). Hell, that's fast enough!

Re: X18-R Nitro

With regard to my last post, I intentionally left out the company's name where I bought the bike just in case it was an isolated incident. However, I think it is probably common practice!

So you were pissed, because they offered to upgrade your order?

Sounds like a good company to me.

I agree, they chare tons of money for shipping, so the price that you typically see, isn't correct.

Re: X18-R Nitro

I don't know about x-18s.. But when you get a x-19 form that site...

Make sure to tighten every bolt even the engine mounts! Better of getting bolts and bolt locks.. So you know the engine mount won't move from vibration.

Re: X18-R Nitro

yea tomhines i agree. when i got my bike it was obvious that it was assembled by a 13 year old in china. a bunch of bolts where loose and they even stripped out one of the bolts from the foot rest on the back brake side. allso when you get the fairings off, which will take about an hour the first time. get speed nuts 1/4 x 20 and allso when you put those on you will need to get longer screws. the ones the bikes come with are 1/4 x 20 x 5/8 your going to need 1/4 x 20 x 1 inch. trust me i learned this the hard way

Re: X18-R Nitro

i got my bike from mpr, the only things i didn;t like was how both of my footpegs snapped off the first few minutes of riding, and the speeds are no were even close to what they say. They also lie about the parts being from cali. It's all from china, it even says it ships from Canada on the package. and btw they do ship in 1-2 days, it just takes UPS a while to get it to your door.

Re: X18-R Nitro

I had no problem with Minipocketrockets. My X7 arrived on time in the color I asked for. Don't mistake "ships in 1-2 days" with "it'll be at your door in 1-2 days". I ordered on Thursday, it arrived Thursday the following week, and that's in NY. The box was kinda beat, but no damage to the bike and I had no issues at all. Too bad the bike got stolen, now I need another (faster) one.
