Cool x1 Fully rebuilt and restored

Hey everyone,

I recently bought an X1 from a member here locally that was a project. Wasn't running correctly, choked at WOT, pull start was old, gas lines old, body panels not in the best shape, etc. I bought it with the intention of restoring it/rebuilding it and selling it. Here is what I did:

1) Rebuilt internals. Brought to a professional repair shop and had all the internals rebuilt, keeping stock size/spec parts. 2.2 hours labor total just for the rebuild, not including putting back on the bike, etc.
2) New stock carb. Replaced the stock carb with a brand new stock carb, along with all new gaskets.
3) New fuel lines and fuel filter, stock specs.
4) Brand new pull start made by Echo. This is the complete assembly, not just the rope. Not exactly cheap.
5) Refinished fairings. I sanded, primered, and painted the fairings metallic gun metal gray, along with a lacquer protective/gloss finish.
6) Built the brakes. Previous owner only had rear brake connected, so I tightened that brake and cleaned the rotor/pad, along with putting the front brake together and adjusting it correctly.
7) New spark plug AND wire, along with cleaning out the pack. I gapped the NGK spark to stock spec, as it was a little wider on the NGK. Sparks great.

Other than that, the bike already had:
-Reinforced gas tank
-Proline Pipe
-Black Rims
-Airfilter and V-stack

Also comes with:
-Stock Pipe
-Stock grips
-Headlight assembly (IMO headlights are not needed)
-Kill Switch assembly
-All other stock parts, lots of nuts and bolts, etc.

When I picked this bike up, it started cold after 4 or 5 pulls, but wouldn't run at more than 30% throttle. Now it starts cold with 2 or 3 pulls and will run WOT up to 28 mph (I'm 130 lbs). It runs really smooth, pipe sounds awesome, and I'm extremely proud of my work with this bike. I will not take lowball offers. If I can't find the price I want, I'll just keep it. Keep in mind, this restoration work was for performance and durability. I used as many domestic parts as possible so that the next owner wouldn't have to deal with cheap Chinese parts.

I'm looking for 230 obo locally, or 250 plus shipping to anywhere in the US. I will have pictures and video up tomorrow and the next day depending on interest.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: x1 Fully rebuilt and restored

That's nice of you (sarcasm, lowball), but I'm not going to sell it for that.

Unless someone offers me 250, this bike is no longer for sale. I have a 603 carb now, along with another sprocket and the double boost bottle/nitrous kit from BIS. A head kit is going on this weekend.

Re: x1 Fully rebuilt and restored

I will get pics and email them to anyone who sends me an email to subikid@gmail.com

The bike is running awesome. I sold the 603 and am now running a brand new stock carb. Whoever buys the bike will also get 3 spare stock carbs in perfect condition.

I am needing money now due to my car expenses so the first 200 takes this bike, plus shipping obviously.

Again, please email me, it's easiest for me.
