New las vegas rider

Hey all, I live in las vegas, i am new to this sport, and dont have a bike yet. I will be getting bike next month(around march 4), closely following my 14th birthday. I will probably be getting a half fairing cagllari, or a full fairing GP MX3,(The mx3 is only $20 more), but it depends on how much i get. And if anyone can tell me a good place to buy a pocket bike in las vegas(under $300), it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: New las vegas rider

no not waste your money... if you get a pocketbike for 40$ you can get 260$ worth of upgrades
go on your local craigslist and get one there... new bikes arent worth the money...and do NOT get a full fairing bike as the bikes need tons of maintnence so if you get a half fairing you will be much better off.. btw im from vegas as well...

Re: New las vegas rider

Thanks for the feedback guys, and I have found a store called Procell Motorsports, here in vegas, and normally(last time i went) they had all their half fairing Cags for $350, but i just went again today, and they are on sale for $250 now, so I think I will go with that. They also have some AWSOME colors too, and they even let me test ride one, it was GREAT. It ran perfectly, started up on the first pull, and was quite fast too(I think its cause im only 65 LBS).

It is not really a Cagllari, but The brand is Terminator, but looks just like a cagllari, and he said it weighs about 60 LBS, Has some upgrades(NKG sparkplug, Racing exhaust, and something else i cant remember).

Re: New las vegas rider

Procell Motorsports seems to be the only place here in Vegas and so far I don't like them. They run most of their ads on the local craigslist, but most of the information is untrue when you call. I've called trying to get a FF CAG, for the price of $259 as they advertised multiple times and the guy had the nerve to tell me it was a typo and the actual price was $359 ... $359! I tried to talk him down because I was buying 2 or 3 but he said it was firm.

If you have any luck finding anything please let me know because I've been searching for 3 days and most of the other PB spots are non-existent or no longer sell PBs.

Re: New las vegas rider

No bikes listed on craigslist for this area except Procell's.

I went to the shop today. The guy, Sean, offered to take off like $15 dollars because I was thinking of buying two, but they were both HF CAGs for a total of around $610 (after discount). I ended up just leaving cause I felt that price was a "rip off". I'm really considering BIG-BORE-CAG

Re: New las vegas rider

Yeah, Procell is horrible. They rip you off, false advertisment, etc. But that is just the PB's that are like that, my sister is getting a 110cc quad for 700, and he said that the price is negotiable.

Re: New las vegas rider

I've heard those quads are junk too. especially suspension & steering systems. Okay for smooth yard riding but better not go into the rough. Welcome to the group Blind. Be patient and save your nickles...watch the ads and the deal will come.

I don't know where you're finding these giveaways on Craigs list. Once in awhile I'll see one that needs work for $100 or so but a new rider should start out with a new bike. After all these bikes are CHEAP the guy says he can get a brand new one for $250!! why buy a basket case that'll take a hundred hours of work and who knows how much in parts to get going...just sayin'

Re: New las vegas rider

Yeah, I will NOT get a used one, I will be starting off with a new one, and later on start on a new project, as I am good with mechanics and stuff(I have built a few electric go karts)
