Cheese grader style or "Swiss cheese", not trellis. It's OK, lot's of bikes came like that.
If you want to know which generation you have look at the clutch bell, You don't even have to take it off, Just count the holes, 4 holes = OLD, 6 holes = Newer, Next look at the water bottle, Has it got one hose going to it or has it got another smaller "Bleeder" hose too? one hose is found on old'ish generations and two are on the "Newer" C1's, Then the radiator, Is it the nicer/newer silver "Banshee" radiator or is it the older Black painted one? The "banshee" type is found on the newer C1's.
There is also a difference in pipes, but the other things I mentioned should tell you what you need to know.
