Talking remove my clutch

I need some help on how to remove my clutch off. someone told me that i need a three prong wrench of some sort with a bolt running through the middle. Also is this the same tool that i need to take off my flywheel?

Re: remove my clutch

If I'm not mistaken, you will need a gear puller. I think Sears sells them for a little bit over $20

Re: remove my clutch

It's known as a gear puller or pulley puller and sometimes as a steering wheel puller.

They make two and three jaw pullers, If there is enough room use the three jaw puller, It's less likely to pull the part of crooked, but in a tight fit the two jaw is all that will fit.

Re: remove my clutch

In order to install new springs, I'm guessing the clutch has to be removed, correct?

Re: remove my clutch

its best if you go to your local autoparts store and buy a harmonic balancer puller there less than $15 and you can remove the flywheel , clutch and split cases with it . you will need to buy some metric bolts to take the flywheel and clutch off but were talking about $2-$3 and no headaches taking the stuff off . I can use mine to remove cag clutchs and euro clutchs 2 and 3 shoe very easily . Best and most used special tool I have in the tool box

Re: remove my clutch

i got mine off with a few careful sprays of wd 40 and using my hands to pull out and a hammer to lightly tap on the stud came right out but alot of parts stores have ones you can rent if you dont plan on using it often...

Re: remove my clutch

The way i got mine off was to put two flat head screwdrivers underneath the clutch and then hammer the center (put a screw in the middle)
