Re: cateye wiring diagram *PI***

your not going to be able to go past 20 mph without purchasing some better parts i.e. exhaust, air filter, etc.. but yeah if you have seperate questions i would reccomend starting your own topic otherwise youll mess up the flow of this topic making you seem like a noob and an obsturction

Re: cateye wiring diagram *PI***

Good thread. Maybe someone can enlighten me a little. I have a cateye with no wiring at all. I have just the bike and the motor. how can I run a kill switch without having the cdi box or control module? Also, the engine still has the electric start wiring, how do I wire that up to work? I do have the battery still, which I will probably need. Thanks.

Re: cateye wiring diagram *PI***

Well if you still have the 2 small wire's that leave the coil with it's connector you can plug it to the the wire that leaves the starter button.

Re: cateye wiring diagram *PI***

I have a black 16-18 gauge wire and a red 16-18 gauge wire that are connected separately to the coil, and they come off the coil and are just hanging off the engine. If I connect those to the starter button, that would be my kill switch? When I bought the engine, they said it had electric start on it, but I don't have any wires coming off the pull string cover area. I don't really care about the electric start. I just need the kill switch.
