Re: The Ultimate Pocketbike!

Currently, the world record land speed on a pocket bike is 125.528 kph (78 mph), set by Alec Tague, an English motorcycle instructor. The previous record of 102.817 kph (63.888 mph) was held by American Dave Myers. Although capable, even a fully race-prepared pocket bike would never reach these speeds under racing conditions.

No you dont !!! you would literally sh!t yourself if you took a ride on a euro hitting just 50 mph let alone 65-75 mph .

Re: The Ultimate Pocketbike!

ok well i know my bike on my profile doesnt look like it but i had mine up to 52 mph. but i dont have the original engine. i have a 5.5hp briggs.
not trying to seem cocky but it doesnt seem that fast once you get used to it.
but when you talk about the world record are you talking about the engine that comes with the bike or a swap?

Re: The Ultimate Pocketbike!

That recordholder bike was custom-built with a full-on race engine.

5.5hp B&S engines are definitely good for getting you up to speed - someone in my area has a custom mini-chopper running a 6.5hp Honda engine, and it'll do an easy 55mph.
