Suggestion about a Classifieds Ad...

I posted the thread in a classified Ad for three times but I'm never successful with my sale. The most important reason is that people who did not want my item posted many comments which discouraged the sale of the item. I think the one thing we can do is that the seller should have ability to delete a post in his thread. I think many people have this bad experience and they will not use this classifieds Ad anymore. I agree! Excellent idea. However I have not had this problem, yet. It's still a great idea.

After digging through the forum code it would take a major hack of the code to make this option possible and would have to be re-written every time we upgraded our software so we will not be offering this feature.

It was a great idea though, keep them coming!

How about a moderator takes over this job of just keeping the classifieds clean and there is a certain AOL instant messager name to Instant Message where you leave a message asking for which posts to be deleted in your thread.

Only problem I can forsee is how would the Moderator know that the person who started the thread is really the person instant messaging them.

If someone needs to report a thread they can do so at any time using the "red flag" icon to the left. That notification is then sent out to all of the staff via email to look at and take action on if required.
