Re: brake pedal play

The play is normal sloppy chinese craftsmanship but Ive modded my rear brake levers to activate at the tap of a toe....the fix is simple...Take one of the nylon locknuts from a bodypanel and screw it onto the threaded part of the rear brakepedal activator rod where it goes into the rear fluid reservoir plunger........When you screw the nut on you leave 3 threads protruding from the top of the nut as a ballpark guide thats pretty much on the money...To do this you just remove the whole footpeg bracket...remove the reservoir,,,add the nut,,reinstall reservoir, test out in hand to see if its good;- if so ;-flip up spring so it has alot of pressure towards the reservoir and reinstall so the spring gets put behind the footpeg bracket mount, then add the screws and give it the foot test......I even went as far as redesigning the rear footpedal so its a better reach with my foot too.

Theres also a mod you can do with two shims, some grease and 5 min metal epoxy to make the pedal stiff and not all sloppy and shaky too..............Peace

**** cam, that looks A-1. ya i already put the nut on the end of that rod that pushes on the bottom of the master cylinder to get rid of that slop, but theres stll the slop in the pedal itself, the pedal moves down before it even turns the shaft.

i even broke the screw that goes through bottom of the actuating rod thats welded to the piviting plate.

this brake thing is not going as planned.
