Re: Custom 140cc x19

Just got my engine WOOHOOO.
NOT.
Opened my package.. no race cam, no inner rotor kit, no carb, not ported and polished ( Don't know for sure ) But not a krp/yx engine like i wanted, it was a piranha engine with an oil cooler and some other stuff T_T... Most g@yliee, no engine returns..

Re: Custom 140cc x19

If i woulda known a piranha engine came, i would have ordered the one for 350, with a free carb..
I paid 400 for the same thing with a oil cooler and some other stuff.

Re: Custom 140cc x19

Mark installs all the stuff into the motor himself. So how do you know if it doesnt have any of the stuff in it?

The piraha motor is the same as the KRP/OGM/EVOS/GPX/G2Moto

Found out it has a Outer rotor kit, polished and ported, race cam, but no air filter. He's going to send me an IRK apparently.

Re: Custom 140cc x19

ya well like I said some of those things you just have to trust in mark. You cant really tell if the head you have never seen before has been ported and polished. The race cam has a 32 tooth sprocket that is a way to tell if you have that.

Re: Custom 140cc x19

If it came with that CDI box thats in the bag then it doesnt have an IRK...If the engine was ported youd be able to see the rough casting removed and the valve area in both the intake and exhaust ports smoothed and shiny. If you still see rough casting its not done either........I see that you re-used the stock engine bolts..You should get better ones;-like grade 10 before that 140 breaks them......Peace

Re: Custom 140cc x19

Thanks for the advice..
It didn't come with a cdi box, and mark told me that he gave me an outer rotor kit.
Just got finished cleaning& polishing my bike, nice and sparkly atm..
Trying to put on the clutch cable, seems i got two, one has one side to little, and the other has one side to big... also one of the cables is alot longer.

Re: Custom 140cc x19

thats looks pretty good there insnapped, listen to cam on that one, if not you could be finding yourself banging your engine mounts straight again, it happened to who ever had my bike before my step bro, and now im gotta deal with it, but i had to straighten them out sum what. I couldn't imagine what a 140 would do if not properly mounted

Re: Custom 140cc x19

next time you go to a hardware store, get a grade 8 or higher, and remember always use lock tight on the nuts for the engine mount bolts and nuts

Re: Custom 140cc x19

Okay.. So
I have a little problem..
The cables that go to my oil cooler, go in just fine with the bolts.
BUT, the side that goes to the engine, are a bit smaller than they should be..
I can't put a bigger bolt in that end, because it just won't fit in the cable..
Suggestions?

Re: Custom 140cc x19

ah you could try grinding but probaly not

Or just wait till I swing by in a 1-2 weeks with the carb. I have a few spare oil cooler lines we could try. Ill through them in with the carb.

Dont sweat it dude Ill take a look at everything and help you out I was in your same postion last year

Re: Custom 140cc x19

I never ran a airfilter on the carb. If you want to make a airfilter for it just take a little piece of pannyhoe matieral and rap a rubberband around it and th elip of the carb in place of a air filter. It does the same thing but lets even more air through!!! Lots of shifter kart racers do that.

I am giving both jet kits and the carb (I can make you the pannyhoe filter if you want.) and the oil cooler lines all for 70 bucks! If thats not a cheap package I dont know what is.....
