Re: How-To: make your stock exhaust better

The X-18/22 and X-19/15 exhaust designs are totally different...................The 18/22 are restricted at the mufflers and the X-19/15 's are restricted with a sloppy weld at the headpipe where it bolts to the engine that closes up the output hole alot smaller than it should be......The cans on the X-19/15 are already gutted...To modify them to free flowing design requires cutting them open , installing 1"perforated tubing and packing inside and welding them back up....All you need to do is take the headpipe off, take a 1"conical shaped grinding stone on a drill and grind open the weld to open-up the restriction......

For my X-15 I lucked out because the stinger tips from my X-1's slipped over the X-15 cans like plumbing pieces and held together with screws like a 2 stroke silencer so the packing can be changed or adjusted for sound.......................Peace

Re: How-To: make your stock exhaust better

Got a question for u guys, does the 110cc pit bike exhaust fit the x's super bikes since they all are 110cc motor? would it make sense to get a pit bike exhaust and for it to fit on super pocket bikes, just use the stock piping and just replace the muffler with a big bore exhaust? because theres alot of aftermarket exhaust on ebay and they are pretty cheap...just wondering...im trying to make my x15 on the go again.....thanks

Re: How-To: make your stock exhaust better

does anyone know what type of 110cc engine is on x15? im trying to get a muffler on ebay and tryin to figure out which muffler will fit on a x15. Is it the same type as the cr/xrf50 pit bike? what type of pitbike can be compared to the x15..
Thanks in advance for all the inputs.....

Re: How-To: make your stock exhaust better

......You can use fiberglass pipe wrap from home depot for packing.$4 bucks a bag and it will do 10 silencers....

The X-15's engine is called a LONCIN 110cc........The pitbike exhaust muffler will be able to be grafted to the stock headpipe but will have to be welded or a pipe connector made for the different pipe diameters...Pitbikes have a rightside mounted exhaust to clear the tire for jumping and suspension travel...Midbikes dont have that problem...If you buy a pitbike exhaust you will have to spend money having it heated and rebent along with some chopping and welding.......The best thing to do in saving money is mod the muffler with a 10" chopsaw, rtv silicone and some 3/16"rivets or zip screws and some packing

The X-15 exhaust can be modded by grinding open the restrictive weld on the inside of the headpipe, cans tips cut off and Two X-1 chrome tips used as the new tips screwed on like a 2 stroke silencer design without welding. The cans can be left alone also because they are hollow already. The restriction is the sloppy weld on the inner exhaust pipe where it bolts to the engine.............Peace
