Re: What charger do i need?

your bike dident come with a charger or battery? ither way my x19 came with a charger huh thats weird.. as for dna if your bike dosent come with a charger use a car battery charger on 2 amp as far as the battery goes just take the one out of your bike and talke it to your local auto parts store and have them match you up with a new one. your prolly lookin at around $40-$50

Re: What charger do i need?

hey yea so i got home yesterday and my wife had allready oppened the box the bike comes in and was getting all the plastics off the bike, i think she was more exited than i was needless to say now i have to buy another bike for her lol. so i went to checkers and got those speed nuts only i go #10 and the bolts are 1/4 x 20. no prob since ill replace those today but for sure now i understand why ppl say to get those speed nuts "fold over nuts" it took me like 45 min to get all the fairings off im glad im done with that crap.

Re: What charger do i need?

I never had a charger either! Since I took off all my fairings, I replaced the battery with a heavy duty cycle deep cell, and installed a charging jack from PBU. so now I just have to plug the bike in when ever the battery dies! (Which it has yet to do!) I even left my lighting kit on for 2 days - still started! (Gotta love LEDS!)

Mine(x-18) didn't come with a charger either. I never had any problems with the battery either.

Re: What charger do i need?

The X18's do not come with chargers, nor do the MANUAL X19's. I don't even think that that the manual bike's have the charger outlet? So if you have a X18 or manual X19, then your best bet is to just charge the battery with a car charger or just take out the battery because it's a major weigh down on your speed and just use the kick start but that's more of a track rider setting for those who could care less about the headlight, brakelight, turning signals, horn, etc.

Yeah, I have an auto too Cheers! The manual bikes have a kick start so they wouldn't really need an electric start but it does come with a self charging system which eventually fails too so the manual bike owner is left to purchase a new battery if they want the additional features such as electric start, headlight, brakelight, turning signals, horn, etc. and also a charger

Re: What charger do i need?

sweet ill go look for one of those deep cycle batteries. oh and as far as the speed nuts for the fairings, yea no1 mentioned that you have to replace the bolts to cause the speed nuts:fold over nuts" are a bit deeper and the original bolts will no longer grab. well home depot here i come.
