Cool X18 Hitman Big Block Cdi

Does A Hitman Big Block Cdi Really Make A Big Difference? I Recently Purchased One From Pbu And I Cant Wait Till It Gets Here. Just Curious If It Will Make A Noticable Change In My Bikes Performance:d

It does make a difference but the blue anodized one on ebay for $25 bucks is the same exact unit less the PBU hitman sticker and $50 less. After installing you may have to rejet the carb depending on current mods....................Peace

I would have to agree with Cam. I just purchased the 19.00 one from ebay and the one on ebay, and this ebay one takes the rev limit away from the engine. From the research i have done it works very well, and the hitman makes it rev out somewhere around 10,000rpm. Stock is somewhere in the 5,500 range. Also like cam said I would upgrade carb immediatly. But I put mine on today took it for a cruise noticed a gain but only made it halfway through third gear and I was freezing. I would cancel your order if you can dude. EBAY its where broke people shop lol....

Re: X18 Hitman Big Block Cdi

Its not so much the rev limiter benefits because the stock CDI's really dont have one but thats because it really doesnt produce true coil power potential anyway to rev and produce power after 75-7800 rpms. Its more of a better grade of ignition amplifier...The stock CDI is made of plastic and unclassified cheapo circuitry....as the engine runs the stock plastic CDI becomes hot and starts to weaken the signal to the coil and thus the engine loses power and runs sluggish.Engine heat has something to do with sluggishness too but not as much...The blue race CDI is made of aluminum to keep the internal circuitry much cooler to weaken plus misfire less and has better internal classification of circuitry...It also has built-in duplicator circuits so if one circuit fails or misfires during the stroke the backup circuit takes over to complete the firing signal to the coil without losing a beat...The other benefit is the timing advancement it offers too to allow the engine to fire earlier to get the power unleashed faster to produced inceased engine spoolup in all power ranges..........Peace

WELL MY ONLY MODS ON THE BIKE ARE NEW FUEL LINES, YOUR FAMOUS FLOATER MOD, AND THE CDI. DO I STILL HAVE TO REJET THE CARB?

Yes but you still have more to go..Theres 10 steps to modding a stock 4 stroke to gain the best performance from it possible while riding it more and fiddling with it less......

Heres where you should be at with the mods in order.

1. hp foam airfilter;- result :tweak a/f screw

2. swap in 1/4" fuellines and fuel filter;- result: better stronger fuel feed

3.NGK sparkplug C7HSA;- result: tweak a/f screw

4.HP coil wire replacing stock coil wire and NGK resistor cap;- result: tweak a/f screw

5. mod exhaust/headpipe when applicable;- result : carb will need rejetting.jetting depends on mod level

6.homemade headbreather kit;- result: faster engine revs and cooler running valves

7. Stock carb float restrictor tab removal mod ,carb porting/flange matching and carb rejet between #78-#83 mainjet or a VM22 Mikuni carb with new intake jetted and installed

8.Race CDI addition;- result: faster engine spool up with advanced timing and increased power to the engine aswell;- a/f screw will need tweaking

9.Kitaco supercoil;- result: a/f screw will need to be adjusted

10. Iridium sparkplug;- result a/f screw will need tweaking.

Yes it is Benefield..It will give that 50 a little more punch in the lower end and midrange area aswell as a little more stamina in running longevity...The one Monsta found on ebay works on 50-125cc engines although the lister left that out in his description.Just check to see if you have a 4 or 5 pin CDI by counting how many wires are in the molex plug going into the stock CDI.They should have both types available..Pm me with any questions you have about the 50....Peace
