Re: X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

$400.00 bucks!!! Shipped with carb, intake, inter rotor kit, oil cooler and oil lines, kick starter and shifter!!!! If your interested send me an email qwerty2145@netzero.com and I,ll put you in contact with the guy. Also they make a 170cc bore kit and race head that will make this little motor put out over 18 HP!!! But you would have to beef up the frame. With just the stock motor I have its starting to bend the rear axle and axle stops and its starting to twist the sprocket of the rear wheel!! They have a 60mm bore and only a 53mm stroke so they rev like hell!! I,m turbocharging mine now! still in progress and my inverted forks!!!!! here are some pictures

Re: X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

I'm going to try to run the carb u turned around beside the turbo and the exhaust will be something like shown in the picture. I'll wrap the pipe with some header heat wrap so I don't loose thermal energy and heat shield the turbo from the carb and fuel tank so I don't catch fire!! I was thinking of running two oil coolers one down each side for all the heat I'll be reintroducing back in the engine. I would like to run some kind of CAC but there is no room and it just fits so well on top of the engine. I'm hoping for 6 psi boost, I'm modifying the turbine and housing to get as much as I can from the small displacement and I found Someone who will grind a cam to my spec so I can eliminate the valve over lap and move the valve timing. I bent the turbine shaft already trying to reduce the induction diameter on the turbine. So I'm kind of on hold Intel I get a new one. And I need to find out more on running a throttle valve before the turbo. I'm not sure what effect it will have on the seals when the throttle snaps shut. If anyone has any advice I would be great full to hear it.

Gera229, With the 18t I don't think there would of been enough HP and It would of mostlikely lost speed. I think, If I had one I would try it.

the YX motor wont put out 18 hp with the stock valve head end of story
and have fun haveing the power your motor wont last only a few rides near 16 hp at that time 15.5 hp your clutch starts slipping

Think he was talking about a 18tooth front sprocket. Not 18hp the yx motor's come with 11.5hp to and that's at the rear wheel and i believe 16hp the crank.11hp to start with is not bad at all conisidering the price.Plus i heard from a little birdy that there is suppose to be some new hot cams coming out.And all the takegawa S series roller cams will work with the roller heads.

Re: X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

with those types of cams alote of stuff is ognna be needed to keep the motor just a tad reliable
the most i would do to keep a yx motor reliable is v2 head with a nice cam 28mm carb and high comp piston it comes with other goodies as it does already
but other then that the v2 head alone makes the clutch want to give up

Re: X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

Old cowboy saying:

"The best way to set a record is to be a good ways off from any tape measures, scales, or witnesses."

As was found on another website:

"Post pictures/video or it didn't happen."

I don't care if you only got it up to 80 - show a video anyway! I like watching someone doing some insane mods on a bike or car, and then showing it off. Somewhere, I have a video of a guy blowing the doors off a newer Trans Am on the quarter-mile ... riding a snowmobile!!) And if you really did legitimately hit that top speed, congratulations - can't wait for the 100mph mark video!

Re: X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

I have done some major modifications to the stock YX 150cc engine!!

V2 roller race head, Modified the intake port and ported and flow benched the head! Drilled oil passages so now the rockers are pressure lubricated!

165cc Bore kit!

Custom hand ground Camshaft!

custom built high flow oil pump!

Installed piston cooling nozzle to cool piston from returned heat from turbo!

Re enforced right side crank case between crank and clutch shaft to prevent case cracking!

Install custom IHI RHB3 turbo, Turbo is now VGT Ball bearing Turbo!!

Replaced all engine bearings with stronger High temp multi ball, ball bearings!

Race balanced crankshaft!

Re wrapped outer mag stater to have performance of smaller and lighter flywheel and still run lights!

1.5" YZR race muffler on custom 1.5" exhaust!

Check out the pictures! I will provide video of the 100mph+ run soon as my project is complete! Watch and learn how speed and HP is made!
This will be the fastest pocket bike ever built! Or fastest anyone will dare to ride!

Re: X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

I don't think I will even come close to 140!! Thats just crazy! Are they china made pocket bikes going 140? You would have to have balls the size of basket balls to even be on a pocket bike going 140!!!! I will be happy if I cross the 100MPH mark.
