X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

I have been trying to see how fast I could make a Pocket Bike go. Well I found the limit. 93 MHP on my X7! Here Is the mods I had to do. The bike handles the speed better then I thought It would.

Tossed the 110cc motor
installed OGM 150cc oil cooled engine
28mm carb
17t front sprocket
22t rear sprocket
Stretched swing arm and moved rear mono shock mounts
Installed fox nitrogen charged rear shock (stock shock is just a spring)
stiffer springs in front forks and oil filled

Bike was clocked at 93MPH by pace car
Check it out! here is some pics of the bike

Now I need to find real front shocks and round balanced tires and wheels. The rear shock was the best improvement. made the bike have a nice smooth ride.

Here is the sprocket, 22t rear. I also had to add a large thick washer behind the chain tightner because the OGM 150cc motor pulls so hard on the chain it was crushing in the adjuster. Even with this gearing it still pulls the front wheel off the ground shifting into second gear. tops out the speedo in therd gear. Its about 10 MHP off on the higher side and stops at 60mhp.

Yeah with the smaller wheels you'll still have a good amount of torque running that gearing. Now with bigger wheels you get more topend with the same gear ratio. So thats why your limit was 93mph.Somebody with a midbike with that same setup with the 10inch wheels.Would probably top out maybe 3to5 mph faster.

Re: X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

doesn't take to long. while riding it feels like a real sports bike just not as big or as powerfull. Its not sluggish it takes right off. The bike is mostly motor. It was kind of hard stuffing that motor in the frame. I'm still playing around wih differant carb mounting because the air filter doesn't really fit.

Easy dirty balance is to lift the front and take off the brakes and loosen the axle nut so it rolls free. The wheel will fall to the heaviest point. The add weight until it stops rolling. Fast and dirty but it's better than it is. Oh how can you get the power out of that 2 smoke pipe? It should restrict the OGM

Re: X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

ITS NOT A 2 STROKE PIPE!!! Everyone keeps saying that. I don't know why it has the expantion part in the pipe but it seems to work good!!! Besides its going in the trash now. Just won a RHB3 IHI turbo on E bay there is still one one there for 345. Better jump on it. I got mine for 355.
I'll have some pics soon as I get it.

Re: X7 Hit 93 Mph!!!!

Man i just gotta ask.How effective would turbos really be on these little motor's.Especially with no fuel management system. How are you guys tuning them?I'm not doubting that they don't do something.I'm just trying to get my head around how efficient is it really? With the extra weight of the plumbing system. No intercooling system or programable ignition.SO what will the hp gains be compared to the power to weight ratio.I know turbos are really tricky.

Well i did ride a 150cc scooter at the shop that was supercharged so it said. But when i looked at the unit. The way it appeared to be setup was more like a turbo. And the unit was so small it looked like a roll of fifty cent pieces.I'll admit it did hual, but the size of the turbos you guys are talking about are like 4x's the size and weight.

Not trying to stomp on anyones idea or project.I'm just curious and would like to know certain things.
