The two Winning ATM-Polini Sidecars in the USMGP had been stolen this morning off their trailer in Las Vegas. Dan of the works team (West coast mini sidecars) had just informed me and we need to let the news out as soon as possible. These are not the cheap $500 Cag sidecars, but 12Hp ATM-Polini that can run down the Cag solos. Extremely quick that can reach 50 mph. They are valued $4000 apiece. So effectively $8000 worth of racing machines had been stolen.
They are painted in the distinctive red white and blue American theme, but I presume that the thief may repaint them. But if you ever see a sidecar in a parking lot that sounds or screams like a Polini, runs like one (faster than any
pocketbikes except the DMs), that's the stolen ones since there are only about 4 in this country. They are all water cooled.
