Re: St. Louis riding...

Not sure if anyone from St. Louis still owns a pocket bike and visits this site, but, has anyone scoped out the huge parking lots in Riverport. Particularly the lot's right by the concert venue?

Re: St. Louis riding...

I believe that there was Autocross racing in Earth City a few years back in one of the parking lots. Not sure which one, but I'm wondering if that's a way in for the pocket bike riders. I'll send a message to the AutoCross folks and see what I can dig up.

Re: St. Louis riding...

I am using a friends gp mx3 and might be getting my own soon if I can find places to ride. Do you guys ever get in trouble with the cops? I left a voice mail at boschertown grandprix to see if they would allow racing there. Maybe if enough people call in they might see some money signs. Anyone know of any other go cart tracks that might let us race. Also what kind of bikes are you stl guys riding.

Re: St. Louis riding...

I just found out that the carts use this track in pevely. How many people would be interested racing here? Maybe I will get ahold of them to see if we can race there. Looks like most bikes will top out on the straights but we can configure it however we want.

Re: St. Louis riding...

I live between Champaign and Bloomington . So St Louis isnt real close for me about 3 hrs away . there is however a track in Springfield that lets P/B's on it its $30 a day for non members to practice all day . heres a pic of the track I know the long straight is about 900 ft long way too long but we could shorten it up We have ridden here and had a blast

Re: St. Louis riding...

Yes Springfield Illinois . I usually wear motocross pants with knee sliders on them but I would recommend knee and elbow pads at the minimum to keep all your skin attached . We are making arrangements to go in the next month sometime.

Talking Re: St. Louis riding...

Just picked up my first pocket bike last nite! Got it from a kid that abused the crap out of it. Its in pretty bad shape cosmetically and mechanically. I consider this my summer project. I'm looking for a few things: (1) a shop or parts store in the St.Louis area, (2) guys to ride with. I believe the bike is a Boreem from 06. Fairings are all busted wires are hanging down. I pulled the spark plug out and its BLACK! Of course no autoparts store has them so its off to motorcycle dealers. I got it started but didnt get far before it died. It looks like it needs a fuse, and charge. I dont have a three prong charger. Any ideas? I will post pics as soon as I figure out how to.

Re: St. Louis riding...

There is a place called midwestpocketbikes but I've never been there and not sure how many parts the carry. I'd check out davesmotors.com for parts.
