I removed my front fairing to make clearance for my handlebars. Do you have to have a front fairing to race?

a front fairing is not required, some people prefer to run without it, but it is a personal decision

Actually, it depends on the bike. On a Cag, where the front fairing bracket is removable, you can run without the fairing. On some other bikes, a DM for example, where the bracket is welded on and protrudes forward, you must have the fairing on for safety of other riders.

How many of you are going to be at eTown in March? I'm tryin to gather up some of friends who bought some HF Cags while drunk at the swap meet last summer at eTown. Try to get them into the sport. Also, what gear does this, and all tracks require. I'm ordering the Zocchi sliders and know a DOT5 helmet, gloves, and a leather jacket. Is there anything else. Any special requirement for that gear. Thanks, should be a blast.

I will be there with a couple of the TSMMR guys as soon as they give me the thumbs up to come out...Gear at E-Town is as follows
  • Helmet must be rated ***, Snell 95 approved or better and are mandatory. Helmet must have full-face shield or goggles and must be made of a shatterproof material.
  • Suitable protective attire made of durable fabric must cover the entire body. Suits made of leather or a combination of leather and durable fabric with protective armor are preferred.
  • Knee, and elbow protection is mandatory.
  • Gloves must be made of leather or other durable fabric and must be in good shape without holes except for breathing holes. Severely damaged or worn gloves are unacceptable.

  • Footwear must cover the ankle fully. Motorcycle or MiniGP racing shoes are recommended.
This was taken from the TSMMR rulebook......See you in 3 weeks

Do any of you guys still get together at the DMV Track near Quakerbridge mall? I'm about a 15 minute drive from there. Would love to get some riding time in.
