Re: northern cali tracks?

We move around to different parking lots. Know any good spots in the San Jose area we can set up some cones? Something with lights.

I just got back from Atwater (Polini Cup) and I am fried. I need a pocketbike break!!!

Maybe meet up Wed the 17th around 7pm?

Re: northern cali tracks?

Suggestions:

-Oakland Coliseum parking lot
-San Jose Arena parking lot
-Sears Point / Infinion / Whatever the heck they're calling it now ....
-School/college parking lots, like Canada College or College of San Mateo
-Industrial areas, where the noise won't bother neighbors
-Isn't there anything near Sacramento, an old kart track or something?

(Yeah, I used to live in RWC, guys, so I know my way around the Bay Area .....)

Re: northern cali tracks?

Pocket bike racing IS allowed at the Stockton track. I race there so I know. Here's the contat info you'll need:

SMRRC Championship Race Series

Vice President / Event Director
Youth Road Racing USA &
******** Racing Series
SMRRC Racing Series
Phone: 805.890.9847
E-mail: steven@youthroadracing.com

We also race in Atwater, Buttonwillow (Bakersfield!) and San Jose at the HP Pavillion employee parking lot. HP's lot is approved for use by HP administration and there is a one man organization running the racing. We are currently looking for more tracks also. I heard (last night) of a paved track near Woodward reservoir outside Oakdale. I'm looking into it. I'm waiting on answers from two more tracks.

Prairie City use to host some minimoto racing back in the day, not sure if they are still open to minimotos now though. Its worth a shot! That track is AWESOME!

Re: northern cali tracks?

Prairie City looks SHWEET! My wife (The Fixer) will call and see if we can negotiate some track time. She's very well versed in insurance plus event planning and arm twisting. Thank you very much for the tip!!

Re: northern cali tracks?

Woodward Reservoir's track is old and crackly but smooth enough to race and surprisingly clean. It would be great for practice in the off-season. It's close to me and appears to be part of the reservoir park system. The old rusty sign says karts only but I figure if we are respectful and clean up after ourselves (like everyone should) we'll probably be okay. Too bad it rained today! It has a low spot that obviously gets some winter water damage. I'll probably do some test runs on Friday...maybe bring some asphalt patch along too.
