Accidents

Who's had one?
I've had a run of bad luck recently.
Two separate accidents
On my watercooled I broke a rib and had some skin off (my fault, I wasn't wearing gear)

On my aircooled 8 weeks later I was racing at our local go cart track and crashed. Dislocated right elbow, Dislocated right shoulder, fractured right humurious bone at the joint lenghtway's down the bone about 1/2 inch. I got a bruised right kidney and some light internal bruising.

I was wearing gear and it would have been alot worse is I wasn't.

What about you guys, any stories?

Ive been very lucky so far on mine. I almost bit the dust though the day after got my cag. I was riding down my street and wasnt thinking and accidentally squeezed the front brake extremely hard. The back end raised and was on the verge of making me flip over. All i got from that incident was a badly bruized wrist (i have no idea why) It hurst only when i turn my wrist now. Although my friend did crash on his. He bought a cheap electric razor scooter pocket bike thing. and his front brakes locked up and he went head over heels on the ground. Yea...crashing sucks.

lol... My first and only crash happend about 15 min after i got my cag all put together and running right ... i took off and did a wheelie (first time trying the stunt) and i fliped the bike prob going only 10 mphs.. but still brused my butt and cracked the whole faring from the back to around the gas tank...lol... a good lesson learned!!!! ( don't try stunts until you get the feel of the bike!!!)

Havent really crashed hard yet...had my peg drag once causing me to lowside into grass....just learned to drag a knee and when I straighten out I get headshakes from the bike trying to wheelie...that could be bad.

I went down once with my Blata 2.5 and hit my left shoulder without any protection on and ended up fractured the upper humerous <sp?> something serious. I also scraped up my left hand pretty bad. Took about 3 months to heal back to 100% and numerous doctor visits = big bucks without insurance. Weeks later, I had a set of Alpinestars P1 leathers and a set of gloves - never again will I ride without protection! I will definitely say that good quality gear seems expensive until you pay the doctors...

I was knocked unconscious and tore some tendons in my left ankle during a crash at a pratice 2 years ago. (Yes I was wearing a helmet, my head would have been mush otherwise).

Nope, pocketbike.

You don't even want to hear the list of injuries I've had riding my big bikes on the track. Just for starters.... broken back twice, and the list goes on from there.

But I've been riding motorcycles for over 30 years (yes I'm an old man) so I've had plenty of time to rack up the injuries.
