only problem is that there is no expansion chamber for the exhaust so what once started out as a 3hp engine on a CAG is now only 1.5hp and weizing

That is soo sweet. All that needs is an engine swap with one of the new 49cc's with 4 gears and you have a mini shifter cart. Sick!

just like most of the choppers that have 2 stroke china engines. Without a tuned for the engine expansion chamber exhaust the engine is down at least 50 percent on it's output. What makes power on a 2 stroke engine is the size of the expansion chamber. Incorrect chamber size will hurt performance but no exp chamber is just lame. Always look at that first. No expansion chamber = gutless turd... What are the designers thinking?????

The REASON these 2-Stroke "Scooter" motors are made with Exhaust Canisters instead of exhaust pipes is for two reason..1) Size issue, where do you think you would mount a tuned pipe on a stock Scooter/Go-Ped its unlogical and unsightly (when they were made now there exist RACING TUNED PIPES) 2) Sound, stock exhaust canisters are packed to reduce noise, scooters are street legal in most states and keeping the sound down is definetly a good thing..but like all sports kids buy the fastest parts and loudest pipes and go blazing down the street like theres no tommorow..hope this helps on WHY they would put cans instead of pipes

A Project!

A handy person could cut up a Cag pipe and reweld it to fit this. Maybe make the pipe stick out the back at 45 degrees, stinger style. It would make it way faster. Very tempting.

It's been done. My buddy has a BladeZ power kart, helped swap in a 49cc midbike engine in place of it's old 33cc. Added a cag exhaust, no muffler, and it hauls ***. I'll see if I can get some pics up.
