by far.... it is equivalent in performance to a stock 6.2 - 8hp Polini or similar.

i have a polini 4.2, and it was pretty even agaisnt a B1 replica yesterday on an out door track, B1 had a bit more bottom end (although ive just got the polini, so havent got the clutch dialled in yet).

so im guessing that a polini 6.2 would just spank the B1 (both being stock bikes of course)

The difference you saw was probably more rider than bike, at low HP levels the bike is less of a factor and rider weight differences and skill differences come more into play.

Was this directed at me?

I was trying to help the gentleman above understand what he saw... as for your comment, apply what I said and you'll find your just not accurate....

The fact is we have Cag riders here (only a couple) who have repeatedly outrun most of the Italian 4.2's and certainly the C1's with any competent rider will do the same. Now will a C1 outrun a Polini 6.2? Apply what I said above.

You won't find a bigger proponent of the Italian bikes than me but I also try to be as realistic as possible.

The Open-classer retails at $3600 to $3700 so if you only paid $3K new you got a deal.

The GP3 Reverse is a very sohpisticated and technical bike and will take quite a bit of study and some trial and error to learn to set it up for best performance.

That's a very sweet bike though.

Enjoy!
