cateye project


i got a 49cc cateye. i want to put a 110cc or125cc engine in it. i removed battery bokx out to make room. i was wonderering wat would be a good, cheap engine to get for it.

here is some inprogress pics of one I am building now for my son...after all the welding is done and ground down I will sandblast the frame, epoxy prime and paint it....The bike has x9 wheels, forks and swingarm...

Not sure on paint yet, may do it HOk pearl tangelo with lime flames


The two front down tubes off the goose neck have to be widened to clear the head...I cut them off about 6 inches from the neck and off at the bottom of the frame, I bent new tubes and welded them back in....The engine will not fit without doing this,,,,Make sure you get the engine and rear sprocket in line and not on an angle...

looks sweet man keep up the good work, keep pics coming. ill try to get a motor and post pics of my progreess but could some one help me out with wat engine to run. im not rich

well there are several different engines out there in various price ranges....depending on what you have to spend...Cheapest for a new engine wil be around $200 plus shipping...I may sell this 107cc, its new and never been started, just scratched up from moving it in and out of the frame while building the mounts....I paid around 250 for it but since its scratched up now and needs touched up I'd sell it for $200 shipped...

i might have to do that. i might look around town first just to see if theres any used or somethin. and is the 107cc the one that was in the pics

yes the engine in the pics ...

The tubes I bent using a pipe bender like you'd use for electrical conduit tubing.....
