clutch wear

i've gone thru 2 sets of shoes on a total of maybe 12hrs total ride time. sometimes the pads melt fall right off the shoe. any suggestions on how to preserve the life of clutch pads? they aren't that cheap to replace. thanks!

Ned to know a few things.... what is the clutch set to come in at? gearing? going up a hill? rider weight? the clutch set up depends on alot of things. try www.minimotogarage.com and read the clutch tips... that might help.
