Help! Blata Elite 4.2 or Polini 910 Carena S 6.2 LC ??

hello everyone

I am very new to the mini moto world and would like some advice on what to buy. I have recently bought a CAG from eBay and am totally hooked but the quality is pretty poor, if parts arnt breaking the are falling off for no reason! I now think it may be a good idea to invest some money on a better quality bike.

So far my choices are:

Blata Elite 4.2 or Polini 910 Carena S 6.2 LC

I have also been reading about the Blata Elite 13 on the Blata web site but i cant seem to find them for sale anywhere (Uk).

Can someone please tell me which of the above is the better bike or recommend anything else. The Polini would be at my top budget.

Kinda depends on you they are pretty different bikes. Pick the class you want to race in and go from there. Also the air cooled is less worry and maintenance then the WC. Personally I would start lower and save some money for parts, tools and gear.

Sorry for being nieve but what extra maintenance do the LC bikes require? Also are there any advantages that come along with LC bikes?

To be honest i most likely wont be racing, it is just for messing about on but i would like to buy a good quality fast bike.

The bikes are entirely different. The blata 4.2 puts out as much hp as the polini. The polini is very difficult to work on due to the design of the frame.
The blata has larger wheels to begin with , which allow you to handle much better.
As for the l/c over air. Based on my experience, there is no maint. with the l/c as long as you make certain that everything is in tact prior to riding. An example of course is a busted hose. You do have to watch for broken pump belts. The 4.2 is a really strong bike.
I am partial to Grc and like the larger size of the bikes.

I did the same thing ...bought a China bike and found out I love to ride....but it was falling apart......hooked up with the guys at Mid South....got a Polini 910 Carena.....It cost about 3 times as much ...but in the long run it's worth it......sold the China bike toi a guy with an 8 year old son......I put it in the paper....I didn't want to sell it to a friend.....know what I mean....

Of those bikes, the Blata 4.2 would be a great choice. Some swear it performs on the same level as the Polini 6.2! We need Elite14 riders to chime in.

JP, this is all you bro. Plus, the Blata Elite14/4.2 status in the US is like owning...a 2005 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG.
