it basicly is. should i save up for an hp carb or a g230rc?

and yes. i highly suggest a g230 or g260 over an hp carb for an lh. they may be unreliable, but fast a hell.

Honestly ....don't waste any money on it. With today's used Ped prices in the toilet, you won't be able to sell it when you want to. I have $1200 into the Superbeast that I'll never see again.
Use it and enjoy it the way it is and if you're still into Gopeds next year , buy a GSR ....

thanks for the info. i think i'll stick with hard tire peds. ive ridden it almost every day for 3 years

If you're saving up for the Carena, why not sell the ped? That's what i did. Sold the Xped and the sport before Cags were out.
