its known as a dry system. dry systems are crap, in order to take advantage of the added oxygen of the nitrous you have to run the engine rich all the time, so basically the bike will only run well when the nitrous is going into intake, those type nitrous cartridges (hehe haven't seen those in years) are also the most expensive way to buy nitrous, if you really want to run nitrous the right way you need to do a wet type system, you would need to add a small fuel pump and an injector plate under the intake, need to hook up solinoids, ect. a wet system provides the motor with the fuel and oxygen to make the extra power rather then just adding oxygen. it is more complicated then the dry system but the bike will not need to be jetted rich and will run better when not on the nitrous

Pocket rocket pro sells nitrous kits for cheap. I have one on my cateyes bike and it rocks you should only use it when the bike is on the power ban. These kits should be placed on a bike with a battery (like for the electric start) to fire the solenoid. I have mine hooked to a toggle switch hooked into my horn button. When I activate the switch and press the horn button bam iam off. I have had it on for about three months no troubles. If you were to place the kit on lets say a 47cc cag or blata you would probabbly need to get like an RC car battery and wire that to fire the NX solenoid. P.S. These are dry kits with their own small bottle that you can refill as much as you like.
