those don't go hand in hand... the larger you get usually the slower they are.

smaller is usually faster

Depends on what you want the bike for really, if you just want something to tool around on in parking lots, just about any of the $399 chinese junk bikes will do, if you plan on getting into racing (USMGP, SEPRA) then you'll want to spend more to get a quality bike that's going to last for the long haul, and be competitive.

Unless you got serious cash your looking at the x series & cat eyes. Your gonna end up around 25-30 from all of them depending on your size.

He's speaking the truth here on the speed, and the midi bikes like the GRC/DM/ZPF/GEM bikes are 10% bigger than the Blata 2.5's and Cags.
But since you just want it for tooling around, (Ride in parking lots please, if you don't, it gives the sport of PB racing a bad name.) get an X series or cat eye bike for the size, and they aren't that expensive to modify them to go faster. Just a point of interest, even 25 MPH seems fast when you're that low to the ground, heh.

Yea ... my Cag goes 26-28 most of the time and people are like ohh that's *** ... they say they go like 45 ... and then i let them ride it and then they see how much fun it is ... pocketbikes are really fun and you feel like you are going way faster than you really are ... I'm gonna have to third that comment!

Check any of the web sites or even ebay. Most places list the dimension. Another idea for size woulc be to look in the gallery at people on thier bikes.

I'm 5'11 and when I sit on mine my knees are at like a 90 degree angle if it helps.

Speaking about modifying the X series and cat eyes, how do you guys go about it?

I mean does any other italian engine fit into those mentioned? What engines do you guys use to modify and what other mods do you guys do to make it go faster?

Port your parts, get a pipe, get an air filter, get a fuel filter, get big bore kit or a 4-port barrel ... there's all kinds of stuff you can do ...

i own 2 chinese bikes and 1 blata 2.5.i wish all the itallian pocket bike owners would just admit there are problems with the bikes also.they are more reliable but they arent all that more reliable.i am a owner along with a couple of friends of mine of these itallian bikes and we also have seen our days of thunder.going through clutches, breaking our pull starts ect.i got tired of ordering parts and waiting.i heard there was a new line of pocket bikes that the chinese are starting to make and i have to admit it saved our pockets.....my pants pockets as in money.when i break somthing wich is just a couple of times so far i can go to seattle and get parts quick and cheap.put it this way.if i buy 4 chinese bikes and throw a bike away each year wich i dont think would happen cause i havent had a chinese bike go out that bad on me yet i still would have saved a lot more than i spent on my blata.i love my blata but its just a availability issue.i'm not saying any names but i also hate it when people tell me to go to a certain shop here in washington and i go there for a part and they dont have it.no one here in washington carries a huge parts stock over the counter for blatas.its all order crap.i will post pics of my bikes once i get my camera back from my friend.
