I was wondering can you feel more torque with a sprocket

Yes, you can "feel" the increased acceleration with a larger sprocket.

Youll also find that changing the front sprocket a couple teeth has a bigger effect than changing the rear a couple teeth. Plus its easier.

We're talking about acceleration, not top-end. Switching to a larger front pinion compromises acceleration and/or torque.
