So where are all the LEGAL places to ride in Arizona? Preferably Tucson Area if possible.. Right now I ride around in the Reid Park Parking lot where the Toros used to play, I ride at night so there isnt any traffic, but I have to duck behind my car when a cop drives through.. I dont know if he will bust me for riding around in the parking lot, but just because they can.. he most likely would..
so any known tracks or legal places to ride, lemme know!!!
okay so tonight I returned to Reid Park to ride my bike once more. this time, there was a cop waiting in the parking lot off to the side. so I walked over to him, and asked "I have a pocket bike, Im sure you know what that is, can I ride it in this parking lot, as long as I dont go on the street?" and right away he said "sure, just dont ride on the street" and then he rode away!!
SOO I have a great Idea.. since there isnt much of a place to ride in tucson, I was wanting to get together with prolly about 5 guys (or gals) down at Reid Park, and get some of those little orange cones *which can be picked up like at sports authority or something* and start a little circuit/joy ride.. The parking lot is a pretty decent size, and has loops and such.. just caution the speed bumps but you can go between them...
so if any of you in the tucson arizona area wanna get together and ride around and just be stupid and have fun, gimme a ring, and I will set up some stuff..
Check out www.azpra.com for racing in Arizona. We've got two races left for the 2004 season, both at Firebird Intl. Raceway West. We're working on our schedule for 2005 right now and are looking to include a few dates for Tucson. We're finally seeing people from down South checking in, it's awesome!

awesome, thanks for the tip, I want to learn a lil better on my bike before I start any racing.. I need some knee sliders so I can learn better leaning. but let me know if there are any upcoming tucson dates.!!
Thanks. I just havent seen any postings on AZPRA in a while. My buddy and I have just been going over to a Industrial parking lot lately. Like to get out there with some riders who know what they are doing.

Erica does a great job keeping up her website... you really should visit www.azpra.com for all the information. It's updated more frequently.
which parking lot in north phoenix. that's where i am. i'm looking for a place where my son can ride safely and without incident with the local pd. i'd like to hook up with some local riders to find out more about the local scene here in phoenix, these little bikes are a blast. wingnut

shouldnt matter they are all private property and legal to ride in. Just pick one that doesnt have a lot of traffic and he will be fine
is that a regular sunday nite thing or just a whenever. i went up north of the 101 in the lot behind the az. dept of revenue and their is an american express office their as well. about 28th ave and beardsley, north west corner. my son had a good time. i took it for a ride and the bike needs some help in the throttle response area. pegs seemed to drag alot too. time for some billet relocating mounts for the pegs. drop me an e- (jgwingo@netzero.net) the next time you go their to ride. later, wingnut
ok, this post is a little old, but i still would like to keep it open. I live in north phoenix (deer valley) and i haven't found any places. i went to waterworld (they have loose gravel and said no) and then i went down the street to some church. i rode around there for like half an hour, then i tried to pull a wheelie and wrecked, and then couldn't get it started (but the wreck had nothin to do with it). just as we were leavin someone went flying in the parking lot, spun around and went flying out.
so where are the good spots? bryman may be a good one, but i can't go on the weekends. my days off are tuesday and wednesday, so i ride on those days. i can't find any good spots. i can drive wherever, but i just need to find like an empty parking lot. i went and looked for the spot wingnut was talking about, but didn't find anything.
Anybody thought of riding on top of big parking ramps. I've been thinking of going on top of one of the ramps at asu... that is once my bike arrives.
