Courtesy of MMGarage:

Remove the top of the carburetor. Take a small section of fuel line and cut a piece off. About a 1/2 inch will do. Remove the cable from the carb slide and slip the small piece of hose onto the cable and insert it back into the carb slide. Put the top back on and your in business. The hose acts as a governor to control the slide travel and speed. As your son/daughter gets older and gains experience, just shorten the hose for more travel. Eventually you can remove it for full throttle.

Cheers

At $1,250, the newly redesigned Polini 4.2 S would be the premiere starter bike.

I have to disagree. Under adult scrutiny and with proper gear, 5 years olds can ride a PB without a problem.

Not too long ago, a buddy and I were amazed when we saw a little girl riding a dirtbike at the track. I forget how old she was, but she couldn't have been more than 4-5 years old and about 3 apples tall. Her feet didn't even reach the ground, but Dad would put the bike in first gear and roll her off.

Cheers

I can give ya some info; Rossini is just one of the brand names for a mass produced pocket bike. Don't get me wrong, it's not necessarily bad, one of the other names is Giovanni, and I'm getting one of those [Giovanni] They have a website, you can check out the stats for their bikes, and those stats will be equivilant to your Rossini. Here is the sit www. giovannibikes .com but without spaces. It will tell you info about the bike that you might not know, and there customer help is amazing. Sometimes they don't get the messages though. But go check them out, just click on "Giovanni Bikes" around the top.

I think it is up to the parent to when they feel it is safe for their son or daughter to start riding or racing. This kid that races here in Stockton Ca. is Unbelievable!! I don't know exactly how young he was when he first started out, but this kid is Awesome!! I couldn't believe how fast he was when I first saw him. I think it is Great, This kid has been in a few magazines. And of course you must have them in all of their safety gear.

I agree with Freddie. There are lots of youngsters (really young) that ride, part of which is I believe they have a "natural" for riding.

I too saw the little girl at the track riding the mini Honda dirt bike, XR50 I think it was. Her father said she was only 3 years old. I'm not sure if the proud father was exaggerating about her age, I found it hard to believe she was only 3, but she was definitely about 4 , not more than 5 years of age. I was amazed when I saw how really young she was not to mention a girl. It was a site to see her roll around the track after her dad gave her a rolling start in 4th gear. She did need the extra supervision which her father no doubtingly gave her as she zoomed around the track but only because of all the extra traffic that flew by her on the track. She's gonna turn pro when she gets older......
