4. Strip the carb. Remove the bowl, float, float arms, jet, atomizer, and Idle screw from the carb.
5. Now looking at the carb in your hand, push the choke lever into the up position. You see the plate move down and cover that big 1/2" diameter hole that goes all the way thru the carb? That is the hole that you want to drill thru.
6. Using a 9/16" Drill Bit (DON'T GO ANY BIGGER THEN THIS SIZE!!!) Drill thru the hole that the choke plate covered. Go all the way thru the carb.
7. Port the intake manifold. This would be the little black plastic diamond shaped thing that the carb bolts onto. Unbolt that off of the bike and bolt it onto the back of the carb. Now run the same 9/16" drill bit back thru the carb and thru the black plastic intake manifold. This ensures everything is lined up.
8. Unbolt the black plastic intake manifold from the carb. Now sand both the carb and the intake manifold were you drilled them. Progressively smoothing it out. Start out with 200 grit, then 400 grit, then 800 grit, then 1000 grit. This progressively polishes were you have drilled.
9. Once you have everything as smooth as you like reassemble the bike.
A suggestion though before you do this. Do you have the adjustable main jet & Triple Tapered Needle. If not your gonna need them, cause if your bringing in that much more air, your gonna have to bring in that much more fuel. Oh and make sure you have an aftermarket airfilter installed before you do this.
If you still don't understand this, then DON'T attempt to do this. Leave the engine and carb alone and be happy with how fast your already going!
