I'm going to go to the practice on saturday before the race if all else has failed us.. It may be short notice for every one. but we should just plan on at least sat practice.

hey all i finally got an answer. Now there aren't any excuses. I told him wehave a huge turn out,, and could get a large turnout for there also. So let's spread the word!!!! Here is the exact reply i got.

Tim,
I just e-mailed Marlon Ostil about 3 minutes ago. We have been trying to
organize the pocket bikes into our Golden State Mini Bike Series for over 2
years, but just have not gotten the commitment to show up on race day. I
would be overjoyed if all 30 would show up!
It's my understanding there are a couple different classes that currently
run. How many are true pocket bikes, and how many are knock offs?

Sat, Sept 11 is practice from 10-5:30, Sunday, race day: Gates 7:30; Pit
meeting 8:30; Practice 9:00 and racing at 10:30.

For all pocket bike riders, and for any member bringing in a new rider, we
will waive our $10.00 Non-Member weekend license fee. Practice fees are $20
and race day fees are $40 for 1st entry, $25 second entry and $15 for each
entry thereafter.

For safety, we need a minimum of a leather or cordera skid proof type
jacket. If wearing levis, riders need knee and elbow pucks, leather gloves
and over ankle shoes.

I am looking forward to finally having a contingency of pocket bikes compete
at P/C. Thanks for organizing the group!

Jerry

Prarie City is a GOOOOO!!!!!!

I met with Jerry at Prarie City today at the track. I thought INFINION had it going on but this elevation changing, off, on camber turns give INFINION a run for its money!!! This track is fast and very technical. You can find pics and some video here in my gallery >>>>> http://www.pocketbikeplanet.com/gal...t=500&ppuser=27

Heres the low down adding to the reply email Tim and I got from Jerry above.

I told Jerry "IF" we have enough PB's show up we can break the class structure down like SMRRC. Proddy, 4.2, Mod Cag, and Stock Cag... If not we can just all run for fun. I have no problem with either or.

Safety is the same as SMRRC. If not leathers then just have this; helmet, gloves, armor on knees and elbows, jacket, mid or high top shoes.

Now that we have the GO we have been waiting on its up to everyone to pass word around! Lets get all the folks from SMRRC, Team SUCKA FREE, and Kwazimoto in on this!!! Make a good show so the new person running Prarie City next year knows there is a market in Pocket Bike Racing!!!

Race fee: $40.
2nd entry: $25.
3rd and on: $15.
Non member fee: $10 (waived for PB's)
Practice fee: $20 10am-5:30pm 9/11

Quit crying about the $40. race fee! You spent waay more then that on your PB and kids aint no excuse either cause I have two of em'!!!

Thanks to Jerry for the reply and walk through of Prarie City.

PS: Lets get a roll call going for P/C for practice on 9/11... Im in plus 4

Numbers

Forgot about numbers...

We need numbers on the FRONT, LEFT and RIGHT REAR... as long as they are legible then you should be all good. White backround with black numbers at least 4" tall. Use my bike in the gallery as an example...

prairie city racing

what's up guys! I just wanted to also confirm that the prairie city race track is a go.
Jerry left me a message today, saying he's been trying to get the pocketbike races for 2 years, now. if we spread the word, we can a get big turnout like the ones in stockton and benicia. just as sydeshow put it, that's the same info he left on my voicemail. HOpefully, the word gets around. I'll definitely spread the word around here in the Sacramento area and I'll also tell Team Sucka Free about the track. those guys are my buddies and sonny is my brother.just to let you know who i am, I was the one with the FF chrome cag at the Benicia race.
anyways, hope to see you guys up here in my neck of the woods.
the new Vallejo track is going to be cool, too.
