Where was everyone?????

Had a good time putting on this last race but I must say that the turnout was pretty dismal. I haven't posted on this forum for some time but I fealt it neccessary. We had 4 pocketbikes show up and a host of other regulars that did not make it. What was it? Any reasons or rhymes that anyone can come up with? I'm not one to usually ***** about turnout but we can't really afford to have another weekend like this. If we don't pick up the numbers than we may have to start ditching some of the PB classes and narrow down the classes

Wow, this site isnt as active as it use to be. Sorry to see that pocket biking is "dead" in NORCAL now.

reason y i dont come out anymore is that i dont have any money to keep paying for parts and race fee's. my bike is all bust and i still cant get money to fix it. im selling off my 50's and keeping my pocketbikes just in case.. but i doubt ill ever come back

I'm going to start activity in the south bay area. I'm out of Santa Cruz and want to get some gatherings started in the San Jose area. I have a few buddies and we all want to get stock Cags and beat up on each other in a parking lot. I also have a proddy ZPF 203 that needs to be run. Maybe things will snow ball.

I'm down but I live like 4-5 hours from the bay.....

That's a lot of driving for a parking lot practice. If we start having races I'll post reports. There's about 6 of us so far. We need a parking lot in San Jose somewhere.

Man it's been a long time being here. Is there still any racing going on or is it dead in Nor Cal?

My buddy/coworker Josh picked up a silver Cag (half fairing) today. We went over the thing (the chain was TIGHT, like ruin bike tight and had NO lube on it - not a shocker, just scary) and heat cycled/putted around the parking lot a bit with some 28:1. More tomorrow.

With some TLC I can see a Cag being an ok ride. Upgrade the fragile stuff, run a safe mixture and learn how to go around corners!!!

Hope everything works out. I have a GRC GP 6.5 A/C I used to race back in the day when the sport was growing I sure do miss it. It looks like it died off. Hopefully it will pick up again. I'm going to gas it up this week and try to start it.

Josh and I were practicing in a parking lot tonight in Scotts Valley. Good stuff. Nice being out there again. I hadn't dragged a knee on a pocketbike in about 4 years! Man, I missed this.

Well, the group is forming nicely. There's 7 of us in the South Bay Area so far ordering Cags and more to follow I'm sure.

We got a group buy and they're $144 each. Ha! Plus we have a 30% discount on parts and accessories at a local MEGA dealer in the Santa Cruz mountains. Nuts!

Sorry I haven't gone pocketbiking for a long time. What days are the practices? I am planning on returning to Stockton sometime again. Are you still going to the track? I might be able to get some people to start pocketbiking. I hope to see you again.
