Re: 4 stroke chopper with 4 speed manual tranny

Plenty of places stock parts for the mini choppers. If you own 1 you might want to have a person who can weld the frames are so so. My 125 chopper runs great but I change the oil every 5 hrs.The way I look at it is if you beat the crap out of the bike it will fail you but if you take care of it with proper service it will last very long. However being a chopper owner is about tinkering on it and always improving it and yes the tank will rust just like any other bike I would suggest getting tank cream and coating it even before you put fuel in it for the first time this will prevent rust. And last please check out this site: http://minimotorider.freeforums.org/ I promise you all of your questions will be answered and if we don't know we will help you find out! Thanks, Wes

Re: 4 stroke chopper with 4 speed manual tranny

well the thing is i am getting it from this guy who ordered ten of them from china and this one has gas in it already but i guess i could drain it and put the cream in there? what is the cream called exactly? are these bikes good qaulity?? i heard from one of my friends that after a winter his wires turned white? he was pretty much telling me that they are kind of cheaply made true or not?? did you mean with the frame that i should get some one who welds to look over it??? please email me back thanks alot i appreciate it!!

Re: 4 stroke chopper with 4 speed manual tranny

I would check the welds over as for wiring the insulation on the wires is going to fade if it is in the sun and if you are going to store it remove to + terminal on the battery this should help fight corrosion of connectors should the ignition be left on or anything is wired up bypassing the ignition. You should be able to get cream tank treatment off of Ebay on your local motorcycle shop. Also with the electrical connectors I would get some dielectrical grease and coat the inside of the conectors to fight corrosion. Later if you want you can upgrade wiring to larger guage better quality wiring and connectors like bullets or Deans R/C plug connectors. Can you post a pic of the bike? If not PM me and you can Email it to me. Thanks Wes

I never even thought about using Deans plugs on the midbike, that's a great idea.

I have yet to see a Deans plug fail! They take all of the headaches out of wiring and make electrical part change overs easier. Also minimal current drop. Thank, Wes
